Leaked: The New WiiHD or “Wii Plus”

There is buzz around the world as Nintendo has been spending millions on research for their “next generation” Nintendo console. How many millions? You will be suprised!!! Nintendo annual reports state these numbers: In 2003, Nintendo declared $34 million US dollars on R&D. Then in 2006, they spent $103 million. For 2007 Nintendo spent a astronomical $370 MILLION dollars on R&D. With these numbers, Nintendo should easily blow us all away with a new WiiHD! Can you imagine how awesome this new WiiHD will be?

Below is what we know so far…

The new WiiHD  or Wii Plus (I’m not sure what to call it yet) will be entirely backwards compatiblewith existing Nintendo Wii games, it will have improved graphics capabilities a built in hard drive, Wii MotionPlus built into the WiiMote. This system should be 1080p with output of 60 frames per second. Nintendo may even offer the WiiHD (Wii Plus) for as little as $200 US by end of the year 2010. Will Sony be able to compete now? I think not.

Not to worry, there will be WiiHD Hacks and WiiHD Downloads available. I’ll bet that current Wii Download software will simply need to be tweaked a bit to work with the WiiHD. Only time will tell.
