Great Game November 14, 2007 LEGO MAINIAC 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
The moment I bought this game, last Sunday, I was hooked. There is no question about it...this is the best Wii game I own. The graphics are excellent...both in game and during cutscences. It has little details that really make it that much better. The units themselves are little works of art. Each Civilization, for lack of a better word, has their own unique army, both in terms of classes and apperance.
My only complaint with this game is the lack of Local Co-Op...I was really looking forward to split screen madness. Apart from that, this game is awesome!
Stunning November 5, 2007 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
this game is a quiet killer app. Bwii combines a strategy like feel and awesome action that is too much too ask for. This time around, you get over 20 plus levels not to mention a splendid online service. No lag at all and over 18 plus levels in all. Get this game and you will not regret it.
Major improvement over the original November 19, 2008 Nightmare 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
For those who haven't played Battalion Wars for the Gamecube, this is a real-time strategy game played from a third person view. You select one of your units, and you control that unit while commanding the rest of your army to follow you into battle, or you can direct them to assault a different target or wait/defend a given location. You can send any combination of units to perform any action, so the control level is immense for a third person style RTS. Unlike in Goblin Commander, which is a fun game in its own right, you can actually send your troops all over the place. The only serious restriction is that there is no option to take an aerial view of the battlefield like most games in this genre.
For those who played the original, BWii is much better than the first. The Wiimote allows for more intuitive aiming and control in directing other units. Navy has been added, which works surprisingly well. Online is extremely fun, allowing you to play an opponent in a variety of levels, either trying to earn the most points (through killing their units) in a given time limit or trying to meet certain objectives such as capturing the opponent's base. You can also play Co-op missions online. Although there are only a few different levels, they are reasonably challenging and you work together in an attempt to earn good rankings. Unfortunately, if you're stuck with an unskilled player you probably won't beat the Co-op missions, but they're still loads of fun.
If you enjoyed the first, you will definitely enjoy BWii. The online is an awesome addition, and the Wii controls make things so much more natural. Do yourself a favor and pick this game up.
Awesome January 22, 2009 adamsboomer 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game is great. This is the only Wii game that I have found where strategy actually applies. It is still fast paced and requires your attention as it is very action packed. The online mode is a neat addition and really shows how good/bad you are.
Very good Wii game!!! March 1, 2009 Anibal (Puntarenas, Costa Rica) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am not very fanatic of the games of this gender type but I can tell you that it is very, very amusing and the graph this quite well. I still recommend this game if they don't like this gender.
